The Green Glory Lord walked toward Aksai, his robes fluttering lightly in the sea wind.

He ignored the bows he received from the rows of Experts onboard the ship and focused all his attention on Aksai and Kalingoot base island.

When he reached a few steps away, he spoke.

“Lord Aksai, are you going to take action yourself?”

Aksai nodded without turning his head.

“Yes,” he said calmly. “These people have become quite a headache for me lately. I’ll get rid of them all tonight.” He paused, then added, “Are you interested in joining me?”

Green Glory Lord shook his head with a faint smile.

“I can’t, even if I wanted to,” he said. “The five of us from the Big Five Sects have a non-aggression pact when it comes to shared interests.”

He glanced toward the distant island.

“The Dadangar Archipelago is a disputed territory. Because of that, none of us can directly interfere.”

Aksai frowned slightly at those words.

“Hahaha. Don’t worry. Even though it is considered a disputed territory among us Lords, I am only here to witness,” Green Glory Lord continued with a chuckle. “Not to stop you, and not to order you around.”

He waved his hand lightly.

“Those three Supremes ruling Kalingoot may be Lords in name, but they are not tied to any of our sects. And honestly, the Big Five Sects don’t care who rules these islands.”

“As long as the mainland gets its share of resources, that is enough. We also don’t care about the Big Five Sects’ factions involved in this matter. No matter which side they support and no matter which side wins, us Lords would be the ultimate beneficiaries anyway.”

He looked at Aksai seriously.

“That being said, we are not afraid of those who became Lords using borrowed Spirit Cores. But we would be foolish to underestimate them and let them do whatever they want.

“It’s good that you became a Core Formation Lord during such a crucial time to solve this dilemma for us. Now we can let you deal with the mess and focus on cooperating with you and your forces to safeguard our interests.”

Aksai nodded slowly. His eyes remained fixed in the distance.

Far ahead, the protective barrier around Kalingoot’s base island flickered like a dying flame. Parts of it phased in and out, growing weaker by the second.

“There’s still some time,” Aksai thought to himself.

The sea wind blew across the deck as the ships kept moving forward. After a moment of silence, the Green Glory Lord spoke again.

“Lord Aksai, I must say, I truly admire how you started this war,” he said. “I never imagined Kalingoot would be infiltrated so deeply by your people. Your spies not only revealed their hidden base but also managed to bring down a Third Order defensive array.”

He paused, then added in a thoughtful tone, “Still, don’t you think it would have been better to wait until Kalingoot made the first move? You could have set traps near your own islands and waited for these sea bandits to walk right into them.”

“That way, you wouldn’t need to step into their stronghold at all,” he continued. “Even with the Alliance’s help, fighting them at their base is troublesome. They have escape routes everywhere. The home ground advantage is not something to take lightly.”

Aksai shook his head slowly.

“Why should I care about a few rats escaping the net,” he said calmly, “as long as the Three Supremes fall?”

He looked toward the island, his voice steady.

“Second, if I waited, my own territory would turn into a battlefield. That is not something I want. Choosing the battlefield is more important than having a home ground advantage.”

He gently patted the scales of the demon beast beneath him, calming it.

“Those who fight wars on their own land always lose something,” Aksai continued. “Even if they win easily, the damage remains. Where I come from, we are taught to start wars on someone else’s territory.”

Green Glory Lord let out a low chuckle. The two spoke a little longer, exchanging a few quiet words as the ships closed in. Then, suddenly, a powerful aura rose from the center of Kalingoot’s base.

A shadow shot into the sky.

It moved fast, cutting through the air like a blade. The pressure it carried was heavy and sharp, the mark of a late-stage Core Formation Lord. Aksai’s lips curved into a faint smile.

“So he finally came out,” he thought.

He tapped the back of the draconic Bluewind Eagle beneath him.

In the next moment, the beast released a loud, piercing cry that echoed over the sea. Its massive wings spread wide, stirring violent winds as it leapt into the air.

With a powerful flap, the draconic Bluewind Eagle took flight, charging straight toward the approaching shadow.

The moment Aksai’s draconic Bluewind Eagle took flight, a silent order spread through the warships of the Alliance. On seven different ships, seven figures moved at the same time.

Ruan, Shuan, Violet, Zara, Ivy, Goren, and Vienna stepped forward and mounted their own draconic Bluewind Eagles. Each 2nd Order beast was large, fierce, and restless, its wings twitching as if it could no longer wait.

These seven were Emerald Cove’s Experts.

They had been placed on separate warships from the start, not to stand together, but to strike from many directions when the time came. Until now, they had waited in silence, watching the distant island and the flickering barrier around it.

Each of them carried a calm but sharp look in their eyes. Aksai had already prepared them well.

Before the fleet had set out, he had handed each of them several items sealed inside special containers. These were not ordinary tools. They were trump cards given to him by Frostbound Lord Nael Netherfrost in the past.

Nael Netherfrost had never forgotten Kalingoot’s attempt to harm his daughter, Nuya Netherfrost. When it came to revenge, he had been thorough and ruthless.

The items he left in Aksai’s hands before his exit from the Dadangar Subcontinent were proof of that.
