Chapter 502: New Druid Transformation Unlocked
Aksai clenched his fists slowly.
Power hummed in his arms. His veins pulsed with raw Qi prowess.
And yet, he felt no sluggishness. His movements felt light.
His feet wanted to run. His breath was steady. His eyes could see farther and clearer than before. Even the air seemed slower now, like the world had to catch up with him.
Then he felt something deeper.
Inside him, buried beneath the surface of his strength, he sensed it—the Verdant Elder’s Spirit Core, spinning slowly. One could see it on his back in the form of a tattoo as well. The core was depicted in the middle of the turtle shell tattoo.
It means that the demon beast’s Spirit Core was there, quiet but alive. It wasn’t his to use just yet. After all, he had yet to earn the qualifications to use the 3rd Order Spirit essence itself through the trial.
But still, the Spirit Core pulsed with its own energy, giving off a strange warmth. It was like a sleeping beast inside him, waiting for the right time to wake up.
It was already helping him. He didn’t know how, but he could feel the difference. His steps were firmer. His balance was better. His instincts were sharper. The core gave him buffs—quiet boosts to everything he was.
Even though he was still in the second realm of body cultivation, he felt like he had one foot in the third.
Aksai opened his eyes fully. He didn’t speak. He just smiled.
“This… this Qi Shell thing is just brilliant. It not only made me jump up the ranks in the Qi cultivation path but also altered my druid transformation form. Seems like the changes in my body also affected my Spirit bloodline.
Thanks, Yelia. You… you are just awesome,” he said to the Artifact Spirit with an excited smile on his face.
“You flatter me, my liege,” Yelia replied with a content smile. Even though she tried to hide it, one could tell that she was very pleased with Aksai’s compliments.
Aksai then stood still for a moment, taking in the quiet of the grove around him. The last of the green wisps had vanished into his skin. His body still pulsed with a strange warmth, his limbs filled with restless energy that made it hard to stay in place.
He looked down at his hands. They no longer trembled from pain. Instead, they felt firm, calm, and full of power. He felt that the seemingly endless cycle of pain and misery he had to endure during the process was really worth it.
One had to know that Aksai had made use of the neural link fabric to decrease the intensity of the pain receptors in his body. He had done that in order to ensure seamless Qi Shell integration with maximum efficiency.
After going through such a form of misery, Aksai only had one thought in his mind.
He needed to test his raw strength.
Without another thought, he vanished from where he stood.
He reappeared in the far corner of the Enchanted Everwood Farm, near the old storage ground where large weight plates were kept. These weren’t normal weights.
Though they all looked the same—round, black, and smooth like flat stones—their true weight was hidden in the runes etched on their surface.
Essence Equation runes shimmered faintly on each weight plate, controlling how heavy they were based on complex Qi-based formulas Aksai had taken from Martial World Sharang.
Aksai didn’t pause. He walked straight to the first plate. It was marked as a thousand pounds.
He crouched, grabbed the edge with one hand, and lifted. The plate rose like it was made of dried leaves. No strain, no resistance.
It had to be noted that Aksai was only using his raw physical power to lift.
His arm didn’t even twitch. He blinked and let out a small breath. That felt easier than lifting half that weight before. He dropped the plate back with a light thud.
Next came the two-thousand-pound plate. He used both hands this time, out of habit.
There was some resistance now, but it still rose smoothly. He could feel his muscles work, but it wasn’t hard. It just felt… solid. Like his body was made for this.
He went on. Three thousand. Four. Five. Each heavier than the last. By the time he lifted the seven-thousand-pound plate, he had started to breathe a little heavier, but not once did he feel pain. His back stayed straight. His knees didn’t buckle.
Finally, he stood before the last one. Ten thousand pounds. The heaviest plate stored here. No Foundation Building Expert or Argent Body Refiner could have ever lifted it—not without the help of Spirit spells or Qi channeling techniques.
Aksai crouched in front of it. His hands wrapped around the edges. The runes glowed faintly, warning him of the pressure they held.
He took a deep breath, then began to lift.
The ground cracked slightly under his feet as he pushed up. His arms strained. His muscles burned. His skin flushed red, and small veins popped on his neck and arms. Sweat rolled down his temples.
But the plate rose.
Slowly, steadily, he lifted it off the ground and held it high for a full breath before gently lowering it back onto the ground.
Thud!
The sound it made when it landed echoed through the nearby Spirit trees.
Aksai let go and took a step back, panting lightly. His skin had turned a shade of red, like it had been exposed to high heat, and beads of sweat slid down his chest.
He wiped his face with the back of his hand and looked down at the ten-thousand-pound plate.
Not long ago, he couldn’t have even moved it an inch with his bare hands. Now he had lifted it with nothing but raw strength. No spells. No Qi. Just his body.
A smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
He had broken into the late stage of the Argent Body Realm, but clearly, his strength had gone far beyond that. He had become something more. Stronger than any other body cultivator from the Martial World of Sharang at this stage.
He rolled his shoulders, stretched his arms, and looked up at the sky.
This was just the beginning.
“I wonder what would happen if I start the Aether Wisp ritual at this point.”
He thought to himself and clenched his fists in excitement.
